2025 Fall Estate Spotlight
Each release offers more than the chance to share new wines, it also gives us an opportunity to reflect on the vineyards and winegrowing practices that make them possible. A key part of our journey is our Demeter certified Biodynamic Estate vineyard and farm outside Occidental, and the Fall Release includes three selections hailing from this special property.

Although it is indeed land we own and farm ourselves, using the word “Estate” to describe this particular place always gives us pause. For some, the term may conjure images of grandeur, of sweeping driveways, manicured landscaping, and palatial architecture. Our reality, by contrast, is far more rustic, defined by the daily rhythms of a working farm, the wildness of rural Occidental, and the barns and main house that bear the marks of more than a century of time and use. Our focus is more on function than aesthetics, and the simple beauty that results from lived-in authenticity, naturally reflecting the land’s character and the human hands that tend to it.

Thriving within this landscape is a diverse patchwork of varietals and clones that together showcase the range and rarity of this unique Sonoma Coast site. Yet what makes the Estate truly special is its intimacy—walking the vineyard rows and caring for the land and animals with the kind of mindful attention that comes from living alongside them. Through Biodynamic and regenerative farming practices, our goal is to nurture the land’s vitality for generations to come, tending not only vines but the character and spirit of this historic property. This is our definition of Estate: a place where wild edges meet cultivated rows and where nature’s imperfections tell the truest story.
