Vineyard Profile
Spanish for “fog,” la neblina rolls in from the Pacific Ocean to blanket and cool the coastal Pinot Noir vineyards of western Sonoma County. This is our flagship Pinot Noir, always a cellar favorite, and is comprised of hand-selected single-vineyard lots of biodynamically and organically grown West County coastal sites on Goldridge soil. Together, these elements capture the character of the vintage and the rolling hills of the Sonoma Coast with clarity and precision.
As winegrowers, our cellar decisions and style continue to evolve with our goal to craft wines of restraint and finesse, often accompanying an earlier harvest decision. In recent vintages, we have chosen to age La Neblina components in both larger format 500L puncheons as well as traditional 228L barriques. Each final component of La Neblina is further hand-selected from these single-vineyard barrels to reflect the perfumed vibrancy of our unique setting and microclimate.
