PNAL22 bottle

2025 Fall Release

Vineyard Profile

In the heart of the Russian River Valley, the Alberigi Vineyard, sourced exclusively by Radio-Coteau and farmed organically, lies on a stretch of Vine Hill Road renowned for its Goldridge soils. Notoriously composed yet powerful, Alberigi expresses the purity of this special region. After nearly twenty vintages in the Radio-Coteau lineup, the 2023 vintage Alberigi is a bittersweet bottling, as it is our last from this unique Russian River Valley site. With 25% whole-cluster inclusion and 16 months in 30% new, tight-grained French oak barrel and puncheon, the 2023 offers an elegant farewell that once again captures the Alberigi vineyard’s signature character and grace.

Tasting Notes

Hailing from a cooler pocket of Russian River Valley, the 2023 Alberigi Pinot Noir presents a balanced interplay of bright red fruit and gentle earthiness. Expressive elements of ripe cherry, dried cranberry, and fresh pomegranate are met with tender layers of black tea, warm baking spices, and a faint herbal cola quality. The mouthfeel is delicately textured, with fine tannins and a restrained structure that lends quiet elegance. The 2023 Alberigi is a contemplative, ethereal expression of Pinot Noir, finishing with soft persistence amidst subtle notes of fruit and spice.

January 2025 | (92-94) points

“The 2023 Pinot Noir Alberigi offers an enticing mix of Russian River juiciness and Radio-Coteau energy. Dark cherry, herbs, menthol, dried leaves and pipe tobacco build nicely, with soft, succulent contours that wrap it all together.”
