2022 Dusty Lane Sonoma Coast Syrah Radio-Coteau

2026 SPRING RELEASE

Vineyard Profile

Dusty Lane winds down and around Dierke’s organically certified hillside vineyard. Tucked away on a southern facing slope, the site is consistently flushed with onshore cooling at dawn and dusk, resulting in extended flavor development and vibrant fruit character. A crowd and critic darling, this vineyard gem is sourced exclusively by Radio–Coteau. The 2022 vintage was fermented with 35% whole-cluster inclusion and aged for 20 months in neutral, tight-grained French oak 500L puncheons. After an additional year in bottle, the 2022 Dusty Lane beautifully showcases its innate Syrah musculature while maintaining a vintage-unique ethereal elegance.

Tasting Notes

The 2022 Dusty Lane Syrah enticingly harmonizes dark fruit elements with signature savory components. Fresh blackberry and Mission fig mingle effortlessly with Kalamata olives, fennel seed, porcini mushroom, and a dash of white pepper. Chalky tannins offer a pleasingly moderate grip, underscored by a sanguine, mineral-driven core. Balanced acidity brings energy and lift, leading to a focused finish that emphasizes a freshness indicative of the vintage. While immediately compelling, there is an underlying gravitas to the 2022 Dusty Lane that ensures it will continue to command attention for years to come.

Wine Reviews

July 2024 | 95 points

“The 2022 Syrah Dusty Lane is a knockout. The more translucent side of the year comes through beautifully. Lavender, mint, spice, dried herbs, mocha and black pepper convey tons of savory character. The 35% stems add aromatic brilliance without overpowering the wine. All the elements are so nicely balanced throughout. “
