Dusty Lane winds down and around Dierke’s organically certified hillside vineyard. Tucked away on a southern facing slope, the site is consistently flushed with onshore cooling at dawn and dusk, resulting in extended flavor development and vibrant fruit character. A crowd and critic darling, this vineyard gem is sourced exclusively by Radio–Coteau.
Each fall season, Dusty Lane fermentation tanks fill the winery with intensely expressive aromatics. As the uniquely wonderful, abundant, and diverse molecules swirl around our bustling cellar we are reminded of what a striking wine this young fermenting must will become with time in cask and bottle. Aged on primary lees for a 21-month élevage in tight-grain French 500 liter puncheon, the powerful and ageworthy tannins heed the call of this seductive vineyard designate. A compelling wine for the coastal Syrah connoisseur, Dusty Lane is an arousing expression, balancing its innate Syrah musculature while maintaining a vintage-unique ethereal elegance.
