“The 2013 Syrah Dusty Lane presents a distinctly savory profile to match its intense, dark fruit. The inclusion of 38% whole clusters add considerable aromatic complexity, while beams of supporting tannin and acidity give the wine its sense of proportion. Dark cherry, plum, pomegranate, menthol, licorice, earthiness and black pepper are fused into the huge, enveloping finish. The tannins need a few years to settle down, but there is a lot to look forward to once that happens.”
