“(8% whole clusters and 50% new oak): Ruby-red. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of cherry and black raspberry are complicated by suave floral pastille and cola nuances. Silky, palate-staining dark berry flavors show excellent clarity and power, turning spicier with aeration. Concentrated and lively pinot with pliant, harmonious tannins that add shape to the long, sweet finish. Dark in character but showing distinct finesse; I like the blend of power and delicacy here.”
