“(12% whole clusters and 20% new oak): Inky ruby. A wild, intensely scented nose offers blackcurrant and candied violet plus hints of cola and smoked meat. Supple and sweet but with bright acidity energizing its dark fruit, floral and spicecake flavors. The smoky note repeats on the finish, which is firmed by youthful, fine-grained tannins and a jolt of dusty minerality.”
