“Inky ruby. Deep cherry, cassis and espresso aromas are complicated by dried flowers and herbs. Powerful, deeply concentrated cherry preserve and dark berry skin flavors are shockingly lithe, with a solid kick of minerals and white pepper adding urgency. Clean, focused and gently sweet on the endless finish, which strongly echoes the pepper note. This was the last vintage in which Eric Sussman had access to these dry-farmed vines, planted in 1937.”
