“Deep ruby with a bright rim. Intense aromas of candied red and dark berries, smoky bacon fat, minerals and violet face powder. Energetic raspberry and blackcurrant flavors are given a refreshingly bitter edge by licorice and black pepper, with silky tannins adding structure. A jolt of tangy minerals adds snap to the long, juicy finish. Drinkable now, but I’d resist opening this one for another three or four years. This is a blend of fruit from the Cherry Camp and Timbervine vineyards.”
