“This lovely opaque-purple Syrah (reminiscent of Côte Rotie) is beautifully focused, combining rich aromas of black and blueberry fruit with notes of roasted meats, black pepper and earth. Aged for 16 months in 30% new French oak, it is beautifully balanced with a purity of black currant fruit flavors and notes of bitter chocolate and toasted oak. Still young with ripe firm tannins and a long pure fruit finish.”
