“(50% new oak) Good bright ruby. Musky, brooding aromas of blackberry, licorice, minerals, black olive and smoke. Sappy, wild and concentrated, with excellent energy to the black fruit and flinty flavors. Like the Colinas, this is very dark fruit in character. Finishes very long, with dusty tannins and a flavor of bitter chocolate. This was superb in 2003 as well.”
