2019 Radio-Coteau Alberigi bottle

Vineyard Profile

In the heart of the Russian River Valley, the Alberigi Vineyard, sourced exclusively by Radio-Coteau and farmed organically, lies on a stretch of Vine Hill Road renowned for its Goldridge soils. Notoriously composed yet powerful, Alberigi expresses the purity of this special region. Picked a touch earlier than previous years, the 2019 Alberigi retained freshness and elegance while preserving that telltale Russian River Valley character.

Tasting Notes

Bright and expressive with layered complexity, the 2019 Alberigi Pinot Noir is a melodious balance of signature Russian River Valley fruit and earth. Ripe raspberry and dried cherry notes lead the way, pleasantly intermingled with floral elements of rose petal and bergamot. A sous bois forest floor character follows closely, warmed by delicate vanilla oak spice and a touch of sarsaparilla. Fine grained tannins meld with lively acidity, culminating in a satisfying, thoughtful finish.

Wine Reviews

“The 2019 Pinot Noir Alberigi is a pretty, translucent Pinot. Dried herbs, cedar, spice and crushed flowers are nicely lifted. I would prefer to drink this mid-weight Pinot over the next few years, before the fruit fades. The 2019 was done with mostly destemmed fruit, which is unusual for this bottling.”
