Fermented with 15% whole cluster inclusion, the 2016 Alberigi Pinot Noir is composed and lithe, hallmarking 16 years of vine age at this family-owned site.
The 2016 Alberigi Pinot Noir displays an elegant side of Russian River which bridges the gap between it and the Sonoma Coast appellation to the west. Dried red cherry and fresh strawberry initially greet the nose, while a lush blackberry compote lingers beneath. This wine drinks fresh and bright – helping highlight spices of clove, red licorice, and slight cola. A mild crème is juxtaposed against a mineral backbone with delicate vanilla and sarsaparilla tones.
