2016 Alberigi bottle

Vineyard Profile

In the heart of the Russian River Valley, the Alberigi Vineyard, sourced exclusively by Radio-Coteau and farmed organically, lies on a stretch of Vine Hill Road renowned for its Goldridge soils. Fermented with 15% whole cluster inclusion, the 2016 Alberigi Pinot Noir is composed and lithe, hallmarking 16 years of vine age at this family-owned site.

Tasting Notes

The 2016 Alberigi Pinot Noir displays an elegant side of Russian River which bridges the gap between it and the Sonoma Coast appellation to the west. Dried red cherry and fresh strawberry initially greet the nose, while a lush blackberry compote lingers beneath. This wine drinks fresh and bright – helping highlight spices of clove, red licorice, and slight cola. A mild crème is juxtaposed against a mineral backbone with delicate vanilla and sarsaparilla tones.

Wine Reviews

April 2018 | (92-94) points

“The 2016 Pinot Noir Alberigi is a very promising wine. Blood orange, mint, sweet red cherry, star anise and spice notes all take on exotic shades of nuance in this very lifted, gracious Pinot Noir. Savory, mineral underpinnings add nuance to this pretty, detailed Pinot Noir. Bright, saline notes add cut and energy in a chiseled, super-expressive Pinot from Radio-Coteau.”
