Wingtine Chardonnay is named after the specialized wing tine shank used to cultivate Goldridge soil, including our own Estate farm. By lifting and fracturing the soil vertically and horizontally, this specialized wing–shaped plow reduces tractor passes, while maintaining soil structure and integrating sustainable farming practices. Since 2017, the Wingtine Chardonnay comprises a neighborly blend of biodynamically grown fruit from the Estate and organically grown fruit from the Heintz Ranch.
Following a gentle whole cluster press, Wingtine is aged with a diverse mix of concrete egg, neutral French oak barrels, and stainless steel. Deeply textural and expressive, this coastal Chardonnay asserts its own distinctive voice in part due to thoughtful cellar decisions. With a healthy and balanced chemistry and vibrant mineral-driven core, the elegant Wingtine is a coastal Chardonnay classic.
