neblina bottle

2025 Spring Release

Vineyard Profile

Spanish for “fog,” la neblina rolls in from the Pacific Ocean to blanket and cool the coastal Pinot Noir vineyards of western Sonoma County. This is our flagship Pinot Noir, always a cellar favorite, and is comprised of a complex array of three organically grown West County coastal sites on Goldridge soil. With the extended growing season in 2023, we observed fully lignified stems across all three sites, prompting a 25% whole cluster inclusion. As winegrowers, our cellar decisions continue to evolve, and for the first time we chose to age the La Neblina components in both barrel and puncheon, to best capture the essence of these sites within the context of the exuberant 2023 vintage.

Tasting Notes

The 2023 La Neblina Pinot Noir opens with a lifted chorus of fresh red currant, ripe cherry, and raspberry liqueur that immediately captivates the senses. The pronounced fruit character deftly mingles with delicate woodsy undertones and warm, toasted Belgian Speculoos nuances, offering subtle layers of earthy complexity. A whisper of wintergreen adds intrigue, while polished tannins frame the finish with finesse. Gracefully energetic, the 2023 La Neblina Pinot is delightfully inviting from the first sip and lingers long after.

Wine Reviews

January 2025 | (91-93) points

“The 2023 Pinot Noir La Neblina is delicate, classy and super-appealing. Floral and effusive in the glass, with terrific balance, the 2023 is so enticing. Crushed red berries, sage, mint, blood orange and cinnamon are laced together. The Neblina is a blend from the Estate, Dierke and Alberigi.”
