2019 Harrison Grade Syrah bottle

Vineyard Profile

Harrison Grade is our Estate grown Syrah and is situated 800 ft. above sea level on a ridge top above Occidental. Biodynamically farmed, hand-harvested, native fermented, and bottled in-house, Harrison Grade Sonoma Coast Estate Syrah is noteworthy and a true grape to glass, vertically-integrated expression by the crew at Radio-Coteau. Planted in 1999, these 20-year-old vines saw ample stem lignification in 2019, inviting a 68% whole-cluster fermentation. A Demeter certified Biodynamic® wine, the generous stem inclusion is charmingly evident in the 2019 Harrison Grade Estate Syrah’s deeply textured core and spicy aromatics.

Tasting Notes

The 2019 Harrison Grade Estate Syrah delivers robust blackberry and cassis aromas that nimbly meld with savory hints of smoked game and roasted thyme. The purity of dark fruit continues onto the palate, enriched by nuances of black plum skins and earthy cacao. A pleasantly weighty mouthfeel is further enhanced by fine grained tannins, offering length on the palate and longevity in the cellar.
