“The 2007 Pinot Noir La Neblina has tightened up considerably since I last tasted it in late 2008. Its dark ruby color is followed by copious notes of berry fruit intermixed with underbrush, sweet cherries and raspberries. The wine reveals a nice acid profile as well as some tannins that require resolution, but it is a well-endowed Pinot that should last up to a decade. Youthful, tight, yet promising, the dark ruby/plum-colored 2007 Pinot Noir La Neblina displays crisp acidity, dark forest floor notes intermixed with cherries, spice box, and an almost bouquet garni meatiness. It will benefit from a year of bottle age and drink well for 5-7 years.”
