“The first vintage for this cuvee (the vineyard use to be a cherry orchard and a camp for works), the 2004 Radio-Coteau Syrah Cherry Camp, from a very late ripening terroir, just hints at maturity with beautiful blackberry and black cherry fruit, underlying wild herbs, ground pepper, and assorted meaty nuances that carry into a textured, balanced, and medium-bodied palate. Still showing plenty of freshness and drinking beautifully, this should continue to evolve gracefully for another decade.”
