“(just the second crop, from vines planted on Vine Hill Road in 2001) Good dark ruby. Subdued, warm aromas of dark raspberry, menthol and minerals. Broad and sweet, with very ripe, smooth flavors of blackberry and black cherry, complemented by chocolatey oak. Hints at a roasted character but finishes with very fine tannins and a positive dryness. The fruit is quite dark in character for Russian River Valley. A bottling to watch.
