2015 Dusty Lane bottle

Vineyard Profile

Dusty Lane winds down and around Dierke’s organically certified hillside vineyard. Tucked away on a southern facing slope, the site is consistently flushed with onshore cooling at dawn and dusk, resulting in extended flavor development and vibrant fruit character. This vineyard gem is sourced exclusively by Radio–Coteau. A powerful expression of Sonoma Coast fruit, the 2015 Dusty Lane was held in bottle for an extended period prior to release, allowing additional tannin refinement and bouquet development.

Tasting Notes

The deep red concentration and slight blue hue highlight the fruit of the 2015 Dusty Lane Syrah. Flavors of juicy blueberry, fresh black cherry and rich raspberry glaze make an immediate statement, balanced by a dried purple flower perfume. Savory notes of black olive, rosemary and thyme evolve in the glass, along with a hint of curing spices and a satisfying umami. Deep tannins and a delicate minerality provide for a lengthy, thought-provoking finish and an ageworthy expression.

Wine Reviews

March 2017 | (91-94) points

“The 2015 Syrah Dusty Lane is powerful and rich, as it often is, but it also seems to have maintained quite a bit more freshness, especially next to the 2014 tasted alongside it. Relaxed and expansive, the 2015 wraps around the palate with striking fruit density in all of its dimensions. The Dusty Lane captures the best of the 2015 vintage, specifically an interplay of exuberant fruit and freshness that will provide hugely pleasurable drinking for years.”
