“Even better is the 2012 Syrah Dusty Lane, a site that is planted with the John Alban clone of Syrah in the rich Goldridge soils of the region. About 10% whole clusters were used, and this south-facing vineyard has produced a wine with superb ripeness, copious blackberry and black currant fruit, a dense, full-bodied mouthfeel, and hints of spring flowers and subtle oak. This beauty should drink well for a decade.”
